A Merry Christmas to our followers and friends.

It's hard to continue my denial of winter, especially after last nights snowfall; looking forward to some warmer, wetter weather for our Jan 8th trip to South Wales and will leave you with this prize winning and totally gorgeous photograph (by Steve Mundy) of 'Virginia Water' in Surrey where the Queen has her very own hidden gem of a rapid in the back garden.

I've also added a link to Nookie's River Dart camera which is a really useful resource for anyone heading to Dartmoor and hoping to catch a nice level.

Hope everyone who turned up to the Christmas social night out and pool session this week had a fabulous time.

Adventure Paddlers Weekend '09

It's the first weekend in December and heavy rainfall on Dartmoor can mean only one thing...






Time for Croydon Active Paddlers to go south for the Gene 17 APWE where solid whitewater kayaking and foot-loose free partying are both on the menu for another year.

Lower Dart warm up on Friday followed by more rain overnight; Upper Dart Saturday morning at an 'oh so sweet level' continuing down the Loop one more time before the evening's entertainment and lucky prize raffle with Brucie bonus of rain, rain, rain.

Sunday morning leisurely breakfast and onto the Lower Walkham / Tavy once again at a perfect level, bouncing down the wave trains and wrapping up a fantastic weekend of what CAP does best.
